Senior Marine Water Quality Scientist

An excellent opportunity exists for a full-time Senior Marine Water Quality Scientist to assist Oceanica in the provision of advice on and management of water quality issues associated with WA’s marine infrastructure operations and development.

In particular, this role will involve:

  • Project management of major marine water quality monitoring programs;
  • Scientific report writing and presentations to clients and stakeholders;
  • Experimental design and statistical analysis of data;
  • Management of Oceanica staff; and
  • Working with regulators and stakeholders in assessing marine related proposals.

We would expect that the applicant will have: post-graduate qualifications in marine science or environmental engineering with water quality skills, preferably in a marine environment; 5 to 8 years post-graduate work experience; and, a high level of initiative, adaptability and competence as well as the ability to work closely with others in a team of 40 staff.  The role will be supported by experienced and junior scientists.  For further information and closing date please see Job Advertisement and Job Description.
